Another of Jodi Picoult's amazing pieces of literary work. As in all of Jodi Picoult's novels, "Nineteen Minutes" portrays a shocking and emotional real-life scenario that any one of us could find - or have found - ourselves in, anywhere, anytime.
I would prefer not to find myself in a school shooting situation, but unfortunately we just don't have that kind of control over our lives. If it's not a school shooting, it's a robbery. Or a terrorist attack on public transport. Or suicide. Bullying. Alcoholism. Drug abuse.
The list goes on.
